Final Placement

Please read through:

1. Below is the final site, content and grade level placement for teachers who did not have a placement on thier original offer letter.

2. Find your last name, then you will see school, content and grade level by section.

3. Grade level by section is listed as follows: Example 3 / 4 /4, means your First section of students is grade 3, Second section of students is grade 4 and Third section of students is grade 4.

4. Due to student enrollment, some teachers may be teaching both literacy and math and that will be indicated.

** Not all summer school teachers are on this list. The list of teacher posted contains only those who received offer letters without a site or content placement.(This list does not include Special Education Teachers, Enrichment Teachers, High School Teachers or other staff for summer school as those staff members have already been informed of their placements).



Subbing for summer school

Subs are always needed for summer school. If you are a current MMSD teacher, sub teacher or SEA you can sign up to sub for summer school. Subs are contacted dierectly via phone or e-mail by the principal, secretary or teacher in need of a sub and not by the sub placement office or sub placement system.

General Information

Summer school is a six week session held Monday – Friday, from June 19 – July 28. There is no school Monday, July 3rd or Tuesday, July 4th. Daily student contact time is from 7:45 AM – 12:15 PM (includes teaching time and passing time). Contact time at LaFollette High School is 7:30 AM - 12:00 PM

Daily structure at the elementary and middle school levels consists of three, 83 minute teaching blocks of the same content. High school teachers will teach two, 120 minute teaching blocks. At the high school, each block could be different content.

Summer school will be held at 24 sites this year:

Elementary Schools

Chavez Elementary, Elvehjem Elementary, Emerson Elementary, Falk Elementary, Glendale Elementary, Hawthorne Elementary, Lapham Elementary, Leopold Elementary, Lincoln Elementary, Mendota Elementary, Nuestro Mundo Elementary, Olson Elementary, Orchard Ridge Elementary, Stephens Elementary, Thoreau Elementary

Middle Schools

Cherokee Middle, Sennett Middle, Sherman Middle ,Toki Middle, Wright Middle

High Schools

East High, LaFollette High, Memorial High, West High

Current MMSD teachers: $25 per hour
Non-MMSD teachers: $20 per hour

Pay is based on a 25 hour work week.
